Submission Guidelines

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will evaluate the submissions based on adherence to the Toulouse Lautrec style of Posters and based on the local cafe subject matter. The artwork will have the honor of being featured prominently in the halls of the Mckinney Convention and Visitors Bureau from January through March, 2025.

The details of our 4th Art Challenge:

1) The Art must be done on a canvas measuring 18 x 24 (with the 24" side as the VERTICAL, UPRIGHT, POSTER-like view)

2) No framing permitted. Paint the edges of the canvas to blend with your painting.

3) Add a wire or sawtooth hook to the back of your canvas for display purposes.

4) The artwork you create must be of an outdoor cafe scene from a downtown McKinney cafe.

5) Deliver your artwork to the Heard-Craig Center by December 30, 2024. Pick up your artwork from the Heard-Craig the week of April 14, 2025. (You are permitted to sell your work to visitors who come to the Convention and Visitor's Bureau. All sales will occur directly between artist and buyer.
