Every April and August the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts hosts a large event for Grandmothers, granddaughters, and those who love a great program. This August, the Heard-Craig was fortunate to book Ms. Ann Marie Newman, Performance Storyteller, Artist, and former Artist-In-Residence for the Dallas Museum of Art. Ann Marie gave a talk called, "Daring and Dashing Females" and shared several stories, played music, engaged several of the ladies in the audience, and then led the crowd through an origami project to create a fine arts masterpiece, suitable for framing.
